The muppet show

February 23rd, 2008

The Muppet show came to visit our utopia on Friday . It came incognito as a customer but when its mouth openned it became clear that Fozzie the bear was beneath this yellow rubbery skinned individual .Out of its bag came a Franklin and Marshall sweatshirt .’ This is balling ‘ said Fozzie .What Fozzie didnt realise was that he had washed it with a few tissues which were lodged in the hood . We all know what happens when we wash items with tissues left in the pockets , dont we ?
I believe that a full moon was lurking somewhere and certain people should realise that they should strap on their white jackets and keep themselves locked into their cages and rock away in the corner

A few of us left the utopia that is Genius and skipped along to the gig on thursday nite . Havent been to a gig in the Olympia for quite some time. Was pleasantly surprised , the Gaztapo , sorry I ment to say bouncers were living , breathing , thinking human beings . Well done lads . Traffic in the patrolled clearways within the white lines seemed to be moving freely . Had a couple of pints in the old bar tucked in on the right on the ground floor and then got stuck into the gig . The support , 3 guys from the States or canada did a good job . What is it about support acts that names and places never really get picked up . There wasnt much waiting around , Editors came out and did a banging set . They were really pumped up and the crowd went bananas . Tom sang like a man posessed . Fantastic voice . Did a bit of jumping on the piano , a real crowd pleaser . An excellent gig overall . Oh , was there a bit of U2 thrown in there as well ?

They reproduce tees worn by such rock legends as Iggy Pop, Debbie Harry, Ian Dury, Johnny Ramone and John Lennon to name but a few. Our fave has to be Iggy Pop’s’ Dublin Sounds’ t shirt. Thanks to the weak dollar the prices have come down, and we’ll have them online, ready to purchase, next week.
